WH Smith to open Qatar franchise - Qatar

Al Meera Holdings has announced that is has entered a franchise agreement with WH Smith to open retail outlets in Qatar.
 

According to QNA, the UK book and stationery retailer will give Al Meera Holdings exclusive rights to establish and operate the stores under the WH Smith brand.


Jonathan Pritchard, analyst for Oriel Securities, told the Bookseller that WH Smith plans to grow by around 150 international stores over the next three years and that they could step this up to around 300-500 outlets within five years.
