Easier & Faster Pathway to Canadian Permanent Resident (PR)

  • Eastern College is part of the New Brunswick Private Career College Graduate Pilot, a program designed to support international students from private career colleges in New Brunswick on their pathway to permanent residency (PR).
  • Students who complete a 1- or 2-year program in an in-demand field such as Education, Healthcare, IT & Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Logistics are eligible to apply.
  • Only Two Institutions Participate in This Program:

English Requirement

  • IELTS 6.0 no band less than 5.5
  • Duolingo 105
  • TOEFL (Paper-based = 550) (Internet-based = overall 80, minimum score of 20 in Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking)
  • CELPIP (General Test – Minimum Score Level)
  • CAEL 60
  • MELAB 77

Recommended: Take CELPIP, as it is accepted for both admission and PR applications

Steps After Graduation & PR Application Process 🔍

  • Secure employment within 90 days after graduation to qualify for PR under the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP).
  • ✅ Applicants must be between 19-55 years old at the time of application.
  • ✅ Must have completed a minimum 10-month program from an eligible private career college.
  • English Requirement: CELPIP General 5
