Course Selection and General Information

How to choose a study program in Canada that is both reasonable and credible from the IRCC perspective to increase your chances of getting a visa?

Q: How should I choose a course of study?

1. According to the field of study we are pursuing.
2. According to the field of work we are pursuing.
3. Choose a course that we think will help us develop and enhance our current career. This lets us think back to when we were IRCC. They would have questions like this because we have to convince them that we are not moving to their country, but we are going to really develop our career. It is a way of studying for a career.

Most government colleges, or Public Colleges, and universities at the bachelor's and master's level and above will issue PGWP (Post Grad Work Permit - visa to work after graduation) from 2025. You have to check the program at the institution which one is PGWP Eligible (not every program will get PGWP). Recommend a course with a duration of 2 years because you will get a PGWP for 3 years (additional 1 year). If you study a course for less than 2 years, you will get a PGWP for the duration of your study. For example, if you study for 8 months, you will get a PGWP for only 8 months.
Most institutions open applications 11-13 months before the start of the course, but close applications when the number of students has reached its limit. This means that popular courses may close applications as early as the first three days because the number of seats is full. Therefore, it is first come, first serve.

Application Process:
1. Application You can apply with 2 important documents:
(1) Academic documents according to the list
(2) English score. You must have all the documents before applying. English score can be used in 2 ways: test scores or the ILAC application form
(2.1) IELTS or Duolingo score. If your score reaches the required level, you can apply and pay the institution's deposit. They will issue a LOA without condition, which means that this student can study without any conditions.
(2.2) Apply using the ILAC application form. If it is an institution that is a partner of ILAC, you can use the ILAC application form that specifies the appropriate study period for the student to be able to meet the college's entry requirements. If you use the ILAC application form, the college will issue an LOA with conditions, which means that you are accepted as a student with conditions. The condition is that you must study English as specified by them before they will accept you. If you do not meet the specified criteria, you still cannot study.

2. Wait for the acceptance letter from the institute or college.
Once we have completed the application, the college will review the various criteria. If we pass all the criteria, the institute will notify us and the student must pay a deposit in order to get the LOA.

3. Apply for a student visa.
The LOA we received is required for us to apply for a visa because it is a document acknowledging our acceptance to study at a Canadian institution. If we haven't received the LOA, we won't be able to apply for a student visa.

4. Apply for a companion visa
A companion visa can only be applied for if the primary student has an LOA without condition or an unconditional acceptance of enrollment, which means that the primary student must have passed the English language requirement.

When applying for a program, the admin recommends choosing a program that will truly develop your career. This will make it easier to write an SOP and get your visa approved. Once you've received your visa, you can then change your program. (However, the program you change to depends on whether there are seats available. If there are enough seats, you can change that semester. If they're full, you'll have to wait until the next semester.)

What jobs are in short supply in Canada? Which cities are lacking what careers? You can go to the Canadian website to see what additional careers this city needs at this time. Or try to find out if you studied in this field, what jobs are available? Because the field of work can change all the time. The admin recommends that you go to the website directly, it will be more certain. Website for finding jobs. Try going to look. http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/ http://www.youth.gc.ca/ http://www.monster.ca/ http://www.workopolis.com/ https://www.indeed.ca/

Admin recommends that you study language along with your diploma, as this will affect your visa application. If you're only studying language, you might need to consider whether your work history supports you continuing to study language alone. Based on my experience, it's more difficult to get a visa if you're already an adult student.
I don't want to choose a course that matches my field of study or work. I want to change my field of study. I want to take a course that makes it easy to find work in Canada. Can I do that⁉️ = Yes, I can. The admin understands this point. But since we applied as a "Student Visa", this is from the perspective of the visa assessment. Because if we downgrade our studies or study something that is not consistent and unreasonable for studying in Canada, the embassy may see that we are only using the student visa as a passport to enter the country. And because recently, there have been more Thais applying to study in Canada, choosing the right course is one of the key success factors for visa approval. However, if you change your field of study and have reasons, motivations, and evidence to support why you need to continue studying in this field, why you need to study in Canada, what benefits will we get from studying this course, how will this study help us develop? And why do you want to study now? If you can draw on these points, the case may be approved.
Most institutions open applications 11 months before the start of the semester, but some open 13 months, some open 9 months before the start of the semester. Application deadline: Colleges in Canada close applications when they are full. This means that popular courses may close applications as early as 3 days after they are full, so it is first come, first serve.

Is it difficult? It depends on the institution. Some places allow you to transfer right after the visa application is submitted, or some places require students to study for one semester and then transfer the next semester. This is because in recent years, IRCC and College have become stricter about changing fields. Changing fields immediately is like distorting IRCC information. If more students do this, it could affect the reputation of the College/University. Therefore, sometimes they won't allow you to change immediately, but it has to be the following semester.
The term starts at Public College in Canada. Sep term = the largest term, accepting the most students, with the most programs. Jan term = the largest term, accepting students for the transition period, with programs open for the transition period. May term = the smallest term, accepting fewer students, with fewer programs open.

RNIP is one of the PR (Permanent Resident) programs. It is a program that was opened to facilitate community expansion and distribute economic benefits to smaller communities in Canada by creating a PR program for foreigners who want to work and live in one of those communities. In short, studying in a small city (in the RNIP city list) will open the way to apply for PR immediately after graduation and applying for jobs through companies participating in the RNIP program. For the Pilot Program, just having a job offer (a job offer from a company participating in the program) is enough to apply for PR. But for the latest part that is a long-term permanent program, you have to wait to read more to see if you only need a job offer or work for 6 months - 1 year to be eligible to apply for PR. Sources What is RNIP? https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/rural-northern-immigration-pilot.html List of companies participating in the RNIP program in Sudbury https://investsudbury.ca/why-sudbury/newcomers/rnip/#EmployersHiringThroughRNIP1643734588679

Co-op / Work and Study / Career Program

Co-op is when the institution gives students the option to do an internship during the semester or during the break. The institution will find a company for them, but the students must pass the interview themselves. Practicum/work placement is a course that the institution requires them to take in the course. The institution will find an internship for them, no need to interview for work, they can go and do it right away.
Study in Work and Study / Co-op / Career Programs ❌ Spouse cannot accompany under an Open Work Permit. No work is allowed. ❌ Children cannot attend classes for free. ✅ Work part-time 24 hours/week during study. ✅ Starting tuition: 1.5 years = 170,000 THB || 2 years = 200,000 THB || 2.5 years = 250,000 THB Work and Study: – Half study, half work. – Recommended for students under 27 years of age (otherwise, visa denial is a risk). – For students with limited work experience, seeking new experiences. – After graduation, you cannot apply for a PGWP (Personalized Global Work Permit) post-graduate work visa. Co-op / Work and Study / Career Program student qualifications: – No GPA requirement. – No English proficiency requirement. – If your English proficiency does not meet the required criteria, You must study English with the institution first. – You can submit IELTS/Duolingo/TOEFL language test scores in lieu of language study. – Visa application preparation statement: 1.0-1.5 million baht for single visa applicants.
To begin studying in the career program, the institute will require you to take a language test or submit a language score. If your language level isn't up to par, the institute will require you to take additional language courses first (you can study online in Thailand or in Canada). The length of study depends on your current language level and the level you need to meet the course's criteria. 🥰
A: We recommend taking the Co-op / Work and Study / Career Program (these three programs are essentially the same program, but have different names). This program is highly recommended for recent graduates or those seeking international work experience, as it is designed to meet the needs of self-discovery. This program is ideal for recent graduates who want to explore working in the Canadian industry, allowing them to work and save money while learning the language. However, this program cannot be applied for by dependents and cannot be applied for a work visa after graduation.
Answer: This is a program where students study half the time and work the other half. It is suitable for new graduates under 28 years old. The price is relatively cheap compared to other programs. It is suitable for those who want to gain experience, find themselves, build a profile and earn income from work.
  • You must obtain a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) from your province of study in order to apply for a visa (more details by March 31, 2024).
  • There is no grade point average criteria.
  • No English test required
  • Visa application documents: 1.0-1.5 million baht for single visa applications

Financial Statement

The statement will primarily be the money in the account, but you can also submit additional evidence such as funds, stocks, savings bonds, land title deeds, cars, condos, or other items. The most important information to submit will depend on the liquidity of the evidence, such as stocks or funds that can be sold on the market when needed. Basically, 60% should be the money in the account.
Should a student use his/her wife's statement when studying? If so, and the student plans to apply for a spouse's visa as well, when applying for the student visa, the admin recommends submitting only the student's statement. It is not recommended to use the sponsor's statement (for example, using the husband's statement to sponsor the wife's study). An example would be a case where a dependent sponsors the student. When the student applies for the visa, the dependent's statement is used. The embassy is confident that the student has enough means to support them even though they don't have to work more because they have a sponsor. However, when applying for a dependent visa, the person who previously sponsored the student also follows them. Therefore, the embassy is not confident that they have enough means to support both themselves and the student. Therefore, they rejected the application.
Financial Statement Statement of the sponsor for the past 4 months. Very important** In the last month of the statement, the money must cover the expenses that the student will need to use while in Canada for the entire duration of their studies (if studying for 2 years, there must be money to cover expenses for both years).
If you apply for a student visa yourself, you should also have your own statement. Without your own statement, and only your sponsor's, you risk having your visa rejected.
For land title deeds, you can attach them if the amount fits the minimum requirement. The admin recommends submitting them as well. Submitting a land title deed has two advantages: 1. It helps increase Financial Stability, showing that we have enough assets to support ourselves. 2. It helps with Home ties, the ties we have in Thailand.
There are 2 options: (1) If you can show more than the minimum amount of money that IRCC asks for, I recommend applying for a student visa + open work permit + child is also a student visa. (2) If you can't show a lot of money, you can apply for a student visa + tourist visa (mother) + tourist visa (child). After going to Canada, the wife can apply online for a new visa as an open work permit visa and the child can make a visitor record to go to school.
Statement for applying for a Canadian visa, submit for the past 4 months (counting back from the date of application). For example, if applying for a visa in July, submit a statement for April-July. (During the 4 months shown, it is recommended that no large sums of money be deposited. If there is a large sum of money, it should be deposited first, such as in March, and left until the visa application is submitted.) In the case that a large sum of money is deposited during the 4 months of application, the source of that money must be shown, such as being able to sell a house (confirm with a sales receipt, or money given by parents -> confirm with a birth certificate).
In using a Sponsor to support you in taking care of your expenses, there are 3 main documents that need to be prepared: 1. Proof of Relationship: Evidence confirming that the person sponsoring you is related to you. 1.1 If it is a father or mother, you can use a birth certificate to link the relationship. 1.2 If it is a uncle, aunt, or uncle, you can use the house registration and birth certificate of the father, mother, uncle, aunt, or uncle. Additional information: If anyone in this relationship has changed their name, this name change certificate must be translated. 2. Source of Income: A document showing where the sponsor's income comes from. This can be found in: 2.1 Salary certificate and certificate from the company. 2.2 If you are a farmer or a farmer, translate and explain the land details (additional pictures are acceptable). 2.3 If you are a market vendor, you can use a document showing your market stall as confirmation (additional pictures are acceptable). 3. Financial Statement: A statement of the sponsor for the past 4 months. Very important** In the last month of the statement, the money must cover the expenses that the student will need to use while in Canada throughout their studies. Specify the relationship of the sponsor. The admin will send you a list of documents.
For all applicants, including sponsors and students themselves, if a large sum of money is included in the statement within the four months of submission, it must be stated where it came from. However, if it is not included within the four months of submission, there is no need to state the source of the lump sum. (For example, if a lump sum is received on January 10, a visa application can be submitted on May 11 without having to state the source of the lump sum.)
Statement 2024 calculation 1. Tuition fees x number of years of study 2. Living expenses (according to the number of students and dependents) x number of years of study ➖➖➖➖ For example, study for 1 year for applying as a single student with no dependents 1. 18,000 x1 2. 20,635 x1 Total = 18,000 + 20,635 = 38,635 CAD or 1.0 million baht ➖➖➖➖ Example 2: Study for 2 years, applying as a student + 2 dependents (total 3 people) 1. 18,000 x2 (number of years of study) 2. 31,593 (according to the table for 3 people) x2 (number of years of study) Total = 36,000 + 63,186 = 99,186 CAD or 2.56 million baht
Q: When can I apply for a student visa?
  1. Evidence of relationship – This document confirms the relationship between you and your sponsor.
    • If the sponsor is a parent, a birth certificate can be used to confirm the relationship.
  2. Source of income – Documents proving the sponsor's source of income
    • This may include a salary certificate or income statement issued by the company.
    • For other occupations, photographs or other supporting evidence may be used.
  3. Sponsor's bank statement – The sponsor's bank statement for the past four months
    • Important – Last month’s balance must meet the minimum required amount.

ILAC and English Proficiency

You can take it as many times as you want, but I recommend no more than 2 times because before you start studying at ILAC, there will be another test (Cambridge Test) for you to take again before the exam.

Yes, you can complete the ILAC application before paying the application fee, then submit the application to the college and select an ILAC start date after the visa is approved.

If you don't have test results or have never taken an English test before, please take the free ILAC English Assessment Test! Before receiving your free consultation, select: I am planning to study ILAC Agent: HEYNEN & HEYNEN UG Agent email: Malee Klinkrajay
It's not necessary. You can apply to ILAC and once you receive confirmation from ILAC, you can apply for a course. However, there are some limitations. You must apply to ILAC to meet the minimum requirements. For example, if you pass the ILAC Level 10 test, you must apply for at least 20 weeks. Otherwise, ILAC will not issue an LOA and you will not be able to apply for a course.
Documents for applying for ILAC: 1. Copy of passport 2. Education Certificate, high school diploma or bachelor's degree, or other translated transcripts 3. Choose the slot and start date of study. 4. English score, if you have taken a test such as IELTS/Duolingo. If you have not taken the test, you can use the ILAC test results. 5. Email, student number, address, and emergency contact name + emergency contact phone number. All documents must be translated into English with a copy of the original attached. If not translated, IS Guide provides a translation service for 400 baht per document. Documents can be sent via email to admin@is-guide.com and malee@is-guide.com.

The length of ILAC's study time depends on your current English level. You can use an English test you've taken, such as Duolingo or IELTS, to compare. However, if you don't have one, you can use the free ILAC online test as a benchmark (level 16 for Diploma and level 17, 18 for post-graduate diploma). ILAC roughly estimates that each level takes 4 weeks, but this period can be shortened as they hold a level test every 2 weeks.

No, when applying to study at College ‼️It is necessary‼️ to have English Requirement documents (English language criteria as requested by the institution). If you don't have any or have taken the test but the score does not reach the criteria, you cannot apply to study at College. There are 3 ways to submit an English Requirement. If the score does not reach the criteria, the test result cannot be used and the application will be considered incomplete and you cannot apply. Answer: To assess the student's initial language level. Before applying to study in Canada, you must meet the English language requirements. Therefore, if a student plans to apply to study in Canada, a preliminary language test can help plan the student's language level or the number of weeks of additional English study.
Test your language skills with ILAC. Because ILAC is the #1 language school in Canada, we can use your ILAC test results to apply to top Canadian colleges and universities. Therefore, the ILAC test is a great assessment. We can assess: Where are you currently at? -> How many more weeks of study do you need to reach the university level?
Answer: There is no limit, but it is recommended to take no more than two doses for more accurate results.
Before starting the course, ILAC will also send you a Cambridge Examination for further assessment.
A: If the primary student still has a language score (not yet meeting the ILAC requirement) when applying to the college, the student will receive a conditional LOA (conditional admission). In this case, the student will not be able to apply for a travel visa, such as an open work permit. The student can only apply for a tourist visa.
Primary school students must meet the required English language learning standards and submit test scores to the college. This allows the college to issue an unconditional LOA before applying for a visa to travel with your spouse/husband. As an open work permit, for young students, you can apply for a tourist visa and apply for a travel record upon entering the Immigration Office. You will be able to study for free. For the duration of your primary school student visa.

A: No, you can't.
When applying to college, you must submit English language proficiency documents (as required by the institution). If you do not meet the required scores, your application will not be considered.
There are three ways to submit proof of English language proficiency:
  1. IELTS – The required score depends on the institution and the course. If the score does not meet the requirements, your application will be considered incomplete and you will not be able to apply.
  2. Duolingo – Like IELTS, you must meet the required score for the institution and course. If your score falls below the required score, your application will be incomplete.
  3. ILAC LOA – This is a Letter of Offer (LOA) from ILAC for the appropriate period of study, certifying that you will meet the college's English proficiency requirements before beginning college courses.
A:You have two options:
  1. Studying at a college/university – You can register for the course. EAP (English for Academic Purposes) Then continue your studies directly into your college program without changing institutions.

    • weakness: Higher tuition and limited flexibility if you want to change colleges
  2. Study at a language institute in collaboration with a college/university. – For example, ILAC (International Language Institute of Canada).
    • You can study an English language course at ILAC and then progress to university without retaking the IELTS/Duolingo test.
    • strength: Lower tuition, flexible learning options (online, blended), and the ability to change colleges.
    • weakness: You will need to change institutions after completing the English language course.

This is a rough estimate for one student, excluding dependents, and based on IRCC minimum requirements.

Applying for a Visa

As an Adult Student, choosing a course must be related to your history, such as your previous degree or previous employment. This is because choosing a course has a significant impact on visa rejection. For example, if you graduated as a doctor or nurse but chose to study Personal Support Worker, which lowers your level (downgrades yourself) compared to what you studied. Since you have already graduated with a higher level, IRCC (Canadian Embassy) will consider why you would want to go back and study a lower course and see that you did not intend to study, but came to Canada for another purpose.
You can apply for a companion visa after the student has achieved the college's English language standards or has submitted test results that meet the standards. You can inform the college to change your LOA to an LOA without conditions. Once you have this, you can apply for a companion visa.
Please add 1. Introduction: Introduce yourself by saying what you are doing for a living. 2. Background: How is it related to what you are studying? How will you advance in this career? (The more specific the answer, the better.) 3. Career Goals: After graduation, what are your plans? How can you apply what you have learned? Focus on writing your Goal/Objective as SMART. Objective means specific – focus on measurable / measurable – what steps will you take to achieve it / attainable – goals that are not fanciful, but can actually be achieved / relevant – goals should be in the long-term objective that you want to achieve / time-based – should set a time limit for each task to be completed. Admin recommends writing in more detail, but not too much, like 5-6 pages, not too short, not too long, concise to the point, showing your determination and that you really want to study.
Not married / LGBTQ+ couples, what documents are required to submit? In the case of common law, which is not married, additional documents must be presented as follows: All common law documents must be at least 1 year old and must be certified by a lawyer (can submit any of these, the importance will be discussed in 1-3, 1 being the most important) 1. Joint Account or joint account 2. Life insurance and the beneficiary is the common law couple 3. Property purchased jointly (renting will not be given enough weight) Other documents such as electricity bills or evidence of money transfers to each other, parcels, house numbers together, post office, and room names together can be submitted along with the 3 lists above, but cannot be used alone. IS Guide has a lawyer to certify the additional lawyer fee of 2,000 baht if using an IS Guide lawyer. If you register your marriage, no additional documents are required. *The embassy does not specify that the marriage certificate must be more or less than 1 year old, but if the marriage certificate is valid for a long time, it will be more credible.*
Before submitting a visa, students please read the Final Review of all student documents first. It is very important. Please check carefully. If there are any corrections, please notify Khun Lee and the team before submitting. Or if you would like to check any additional parts of the review, please notify us first. IS Guide will submit on behalf of the student, acting as an assistant in preparing visa documents for the student.
Because if you change your major without connecting it to your previous studies and work history, your visa is highly likely to be rejected. However, if you have already applied and received a visa, you can change your major. However, whether you can change to that major in the same semester depends on the available seats in that program and the institution. If there are no more seats available, you may have to postpone the semester.
Recommendations: SOP is divided into 3 parts: – Who are we? What did we graduate from? What is our background? What is our current job? – What are we going to study? Why do we have to study? Why is studying here important? Why do we have to study here? Will studying there help us reach our desired future? – What will we do after graduation? How will our studies help us develop or enhance our future? 1. The more information students provide, the more our team can improve and review our SOP. If the information we receive is not detailed enough, we will not be able to review it thoroughly and our SOP is highly likely to be rejected. 2. This point emphasizes that it should be written to the point and to the point. 📌**Integral Point: Why should your student visa be granted?**📌 – Why should our visa be granted? Give reasons why you want to study this course. Why should you study in Canada? Why are you confident that it is better than in Thailand? Give reasons why you are confident that studying this course will help students develop skills and how. The more concise and to the point, the better!
Normally, the admin recommends that the primary student apply for a student visa alone first, then apply for an open work permit and follow up with the children. However, it also depends on the student's profile and needs.
After receiving LOA, the next step is to apply for a visa. Step-by-step visa preparation steps are as follows: 1. Fill out the IRCC excel form. 2. Upload the documents for visa application to Google Drive (important documents: passport + LOA). 3. Then request a police certificate of good conduct* (3.1 Use passport + LOA, wait about 3-4 weeks, can apply later.) 4. Do a health check upfront. 5. Prepare SOP. 6. Prepare Financial + Sponsor Letter. 7. Take a 45×35 mm photo. 8. Upload all remaining documents. 9. Request a bank statement for the past 4 months + Bank Guarantee. ⏳Document duration: Certificate of good conduct = 6 months, Health check = 1 year, Statement = should be requested last, 2-3 weeks before applying. *The conduct sheet of the dependent uses IMM1295. You must fill out the Excel form first and then the team will fill out the form for you. For now, it is recommended to submit it later when IRCC sends a request letter.* **Apply for a visa for a student dependent if the main student has not passed English. Or if you are currently studying English, you cannot apply for a visa as an open work permit visa. You can only apply for a tourist visa.**
Requesting police documents may take a long time, around 3-4 weeks. I recommend requesting them in advance. You can submit your LOA and passport.
We understand that many people want to study to get PR in the future, send their children to study for free, or find a job. However, when IRCC looks at it, they don't look at that aspect. The purpose of approving a "student visa" is that the student intends to continue their studies. If you change your field of study completely and it doesn't connect with your previous study and work history, the visa is highly likely to be rejected. However, if you have already applied and received a visa, you can change your field of study. The principle is to choose an institution that offers both fields of study and it must be a flexible institution that allows you to change fields once you have received the visa. However, whether you can change fields in the same semester depends on the availability of seats in that field and that institution. If there are no more seats available, you may have to postpone the semester.
Certificate of Good Conduct = No expiration date. Health certificate = Valid for 1 year. Statement = Should be requested last, 2-3 weeks before submitting.
Important documents to prepare before flying to Canada: 1. Letter of Acceptance from College 2. Letter of Introduction from IRCC 3. Tuition fees payment receipt 4. English Language Test (IELTS Score/ ILAC Registration)
Actually, during COVID, the normal timeframe is one month, but there's no specific timeframe right now. However, they will consider one month to be a reasonable amount of time. If you go before that, you may be asked additional questions, and you'll need to prepare an answer, explaining why you need to go earlier, etc.
Allow me to provide additional information about the study and PR application. These are separate matters. Students can go to study and gain experience to use when applying for PR in the future. However, when students apply for a "student visa," the embassy will assess whether they will go to study, not whether they will apply for PR. They will assess the courses you choose to study to see if they are reasonable for you to continue your studies and whether they can develop your current and future careers. Therefore, the first step is to check whether you will meet the embassy's criteria for studying and applying for PR in the future.

Health check for further study. When can I get it? 📌 Upfront visa is faster by about 2 weeks. 📌 Waiting for request letter is longer by about 2 weeks. 1. Upfront examination can be done from the time we receive the LOA and submit it as an upfront medical record. The hospital will submit the documents directly to the embassy. The advantage is that we will get the visa faster by about 2 weeks because we don't have to wait for IRCC to send the request and then go for the health check. 2. Go for the health check after waiting for IRCC to send the request letter. After we submit the visa online, wait for IRCC to make an initial assessment. And if we need to have a health check (90% must be done if applying for a Student Visa/Open Work Permit), we can wait for the request letter to arrive and then go for the check. If we are at risk of being denied a visa, we recommend waiting for the request and then going for the check. The visa may be delayed by about 2 weeks.
For health checks, there are 2 ways to do it: 1. Check before = Upfront Medical. All students (17+) going to Canada must have a health check in order to apply for a visa. You can check before and submit it with the visa package. Recommended for those who need a visa urgently and are not comfortable going later. 2. Check after IRCC request. You can submit the visa package first. IRCC will evaluate the documents up to the health check. IRCC will then send you a letter to go for a health check. You can go for the check at that point. You have 30 days after receiving the letter to go for the check. Recommended for students who are not in a hurry to use the visa and are comfortable going later.
For the certificate of conduct, you can submit it later after submitting the visa. Recommendation: Apply for the certificate of conduct first, using your LOA + Passport. The waiting period is 3-4 weeks. You don't need to wait for the certificate of conduct documents first. You can submit the visa first, then wait for the IRCC request for the certificate to arrive before submitting it.
